Corsarius has been my nom de plume slash avatar in the online world since December 2005. But I've been known as Phillip Yerro Kimpo Jr. since May 1985.

Born and raised in Galas, Quezon City. Full-blooded Aklanon who considers Kalibo as his second home.

Writer and editor in English and Filipino. Co-author of "The Freedom Fighters of Northern Luzon: An Untold Story" (Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, Department of National Defense, c2010, 171 pages, hardbound). My book of essays, the "Corsair of Cor-Street" is forthcoming.

President of LIRA (Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo; the premier and oldest active group of poets in Filipino and volunteer-run education NGO). A Director of UMPIL (Writers Union of the Philippines). Founder of the Dapitdilim Fellowship of Writers. A Director and founding member of the Communication Service Cooperative.

Son of UP Diliman, Philippine Science HS, and Lourdes School of QC.
